Static Guarding and Site Security in Belgium
Security officers on site, access control and patrols for companies, institutions and sensitive buildings.

Static guarding is the least glamorous part of private security and the part clients depend on daily. 1-Protection provides security officers on site across Belgium, for company headquarters, industrial and logistics sites, public buildings, construction projects and premises open to the public.
The forms it takes
Gatehouse duty and access control
An officer at the entrance screens people and vehicles, registers visitors, checks deliveries and applies the instructions you have defined. This is the arrangement chosen for head offices, industrial sites and buildings receiving the public.
Night and weekend cover
Outside working hours the officer patrols a route and at a frequency agreed with you, checks exits and openings, reports anomalies and files a time-stamped report.
Temporary guarding
Construction sites, shutdown periods, relocations, stocktaking, refurbishment: arrangements limited in time, scoped in writing before the first shift.
Written instructions are the heart of the job
A guarding assignment is worth exactly what its instructions are worth. Before the first shift we draft a document with you setting out who may enter and after what checks, what the officer does when something is wrong, who he calls and in what order, what goes into the report, and where his role stops. That document is issued to every officer assigned to the site and updated whenever anything changes.
The legal framework
A security officer in Belgium is not a police officer and holds none of their powers. His remit is defined by Belgian private security regulation: he observes, deters, reports and accounts for what he has seen. He does not carry out acts reserved to the police services. Working with an authorised company whose officers hold valid identification cards protects the client as much as the provider. Our authorisations and insurance are published and verifiable.

Across Belgium and in Brussels
We cover the Brussels-Capital Region, Flemish and Walloon Brabant, and the rest of the country on request. For sites in the capital, see security services in Brussels. Where a site also requires protection of individuals, static guarding is combined with close protection under a single plan.
Frequently asked questions
Are your security officers armed?
No. Static guarding assignments in Belgium are carried out unarmed. Firearms concern only certain close protection assignments, under strict conditions.
Can you provide permanent cover?
Yes, including nights, weekends and public holidays, with officers working in rotation and a named supervisor.
What powers does a security officer have?
He observes, deters, controls access, reports and accounts for what he has seen. He holds none of the powers reserved to the police services.
How quickly can you staff a site?
It depends on the shift pattern required. What we will not do is place an officer before the written instructions for the site exist.
Do we receive written reports?
Yes, time-stamped incident reports, plus a regular review with a single point of contact on our side.
