How a Brussels assignment is built

1. Confidential briefing — the person or site to be protected, what has already happened, and the practical constraints.
2. Threat and risk assessment — routine, addresses, routes, venues, public exposure and known parties.
3. Protection plan — number of officers, shift pattern, vehicles, communications and an escalation procedure agreed in writing.
4. Deployment — officers briefed on written instructions specific to the client, not generic orders.
5. Review — the arrangement is reported on and adjusted as the situation develops, and scaled down when the risk recedes.

Protection in a city is largely a question of geography and timing: which entrance to use at a hotel on Avenue Louise, where a car can legally wait near the European quarter, how long the Leopold tunnel takes at eighteen hundred, which side of a venue the press will gather on. Our officers work in Brussels continuously, and that familiarity is what turns a plan into something that actually works on the day.

Armed protection: the legal position

Armed close protection in Belgium is tightly regulated. It requires a specific, identified and documented risk, the appropriate authorisation held by the security company, and officers holding the additional qualifications the law requires. Not every assignment qualifies, and each situation is assessed individually and must be authorised by the competent authorities. Discretion

Our officers work in civilian dress unless a visible deterrent is specifically requested. We do not disclose client identities, locations or arrangements, during an assignment or after it, and we do not photograph our missions.

Secure transport in the city

Do you provide armed bodyguards in Brussels?

Yes, where a specific and identified risk justifies it and the required authorisations are in place. Many Brussels assignments are carried out unarmed: for most clients, a discreet officer who knows the ground is more effective than a visible weapon.

How quickly can you deploy?

Urgent requests are assessed case by case. What sets the timeline is not officer availability but the time needed to scope the assignment properly: we will not put someone in place without knowing what they are protecting against.

Can you work with our existing security team?

Yes. We regularly act as the local element alongside a client’s own protection officer or corporate security department, and take direction from them.
