Some people need protection because of who they are, what they do, or a threat that has already been made. 1-Protection provides discreet close protection in Belgium for individuals facing an identified risk, whether the exposure is temporary or long-term.

Situations we cover

• Threats, intimidation or harassment following a professional or personal dispute
• Executives and family members exposed by their position or by media coverage
• People involved in sensitive legal or commercial proceedings
• Individuals returning to a location where an incident has already occurred
• Temporary exposure around a public appearance, a hearing or a company announcement

How we start

1. Confidential discussion — what has happened, what is feared and what has already been reported.
2. Risk assessment — the person’s routine, home and workplace, routes, exposure and known parties.
3. Protection plan — level of cover, number of officers, transport, communication and escalation.
4. Deployment and review — the arrangement is adjusted as the situation develops, and scaled down when the risk recedes.

Discretion

Protection only works if it does not attract attention. Officers work in civilian dress, blend into the client’s environment and follow strict rules on confidentiality. Nothing about a client, a location or an arrangement is disclosed.

Legal framework

Private security in Belgium is regulated: our company holds an authorisation from the Federal Public Service Home Affairs and our officers hold valid identification cards. Frequently asked questions

I have been threatened but not physically attacked. Is that enough?

Yes. Protection is built on assessed risk, not on whether something has already happened. Most of our clients in this situation come to us before an incident, which is the right moment.

Will protection be visible to people around me?

Only if you want it to be. Officers work in civilian dress and adapt their distance so that the arrangement does not announce itself.

How long does an arrangement usually last?

As long as the risk does. We review the plan regularly and scale it down when the assessment supports that — a permanent arrangement is rarely the goal.

Should I contact the police as well?

Yes, and we will work alongside a police report rather than instead of one. If you are in immediate danger, call 112 first.

Is the first conversation confidential?

Yes, and it commits you to nothing. We need to understand the situation before we can say whether protection is the right answer at all.
